West Side Industrial Supply was purchased by Tom Conway in 1978. He was originally a 3M salesman and was presented the opportunity to take over a larger scale of selling Industrial Supplies.
A few years later, West Side moved to a larger office and warehouse in South Elgin, Illinois. Later joined West Side Electrical Supply bought from Heider Electric and built an addition to the industrial side building. Together, they became sister companies that shared a building. Tom’s son, Jim, now runs West Side Electric.
After Tom’s passing in 2011, his sons, John and Bill took over West Side Industrial as President and Vice-President.
In March 2019, WesTorque was launched as an eCommerce division of West Side Industrial Supply to provide top quality assembly tools. Westorque was built and ran by Tom’s grandson and Bill’s son, Mike Conway.
