The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that lasts up to 4x as long as conventional abrasives. Now available from grades 80+ through 1000+, these discs are designed for a wide array of substrates and applications,providing flexibility and versatility in use. The discs are effective for a broad range of tasks from stock removal to fine finishing on various substrates, including metals, paint coatings, composites, gelcoat, and different types of wood. We offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit sanding discs which conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
